To our donors: your generosity and support have been greatly appreciated.
The Bring Me a Book project has completed the First Teacher Workshop training for all of the new volunteers on read-aloud strategies for parents and caregivers and is working towards including more for other Junior League of Portland members. A tentative First Teacher Workshop has been scheduled for January 2012 with Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.
We are currently working on expanding to include another partner site with Peninsula Children’s Center. We hope to work with them to do a First Teacher Workshop in the Spring. Initial meetings have been held and the partnership looks promising for next year.
