We are thankful for the continued support of our donors. It is because of your finanical gifts that we are able to continue our work. The flooding in the country continues to be a major problem. There has been no improvement in the conditions for most parts of the country. In many places the flooding has actually gotten worst. There are now 120,000 people at the Mongalla displacement camp. Our medical staff contiue to assist the hundreds of patients who come to the clinic each month. Malaria is the greatest threat to life. With all the water, mosquitoes have a perfect place to multiply. Your donations are helping us purchase the life saving medication.
We currently have a mission team from the United States at Mongalla learning how they can better service the people. We are hoping to have a new well dug in the coming month. This will finally give the clinic clean water to use. We are also constructing a building that our maternal and child healthcare can move into.
Yesterday we held a communuity meeting with over 150 persons including leaders from the camp, cheifs, the local bishop and other communitiy members. We shared the various projects that we are doing. We were pleased to dedicate the education center. We hope to start a primary 1 class in the next month.
As you can see, we are working hard to improve the services we provide to the community. Thank you for being a part of this and being a blessing to these families.
