Spring brought with it lots of blessings for our Diving Duck project with evidence of new families and stability in the breeding core.
In the Deer Valley Nature Reserve in the heart of urban Jerusalem, at least two couple have been sighted, each with between three to eight ducklings each!
In the last location that ducks from the Zoo's breeding core were released, the Ein Afek Nature Reserve, park staff report that they are regularly seeing the ducks in and around the lake area.
This news is encouraging, showing that the project is proceeding well and we are beginning to see the return to the wild of this species in Israel.
Since the beginning of the project, over 100 ducks have been released.
Thank you for being a part of this project!
Have a great summer.
