This project equips the dormitory and cinema at LEVE-MOI orphanage in North Kivu, DR Congo, for 64 children aged 1-16. By providing safe, healthy sleeping spaces and a cinema room for educational films, we create a nurturing environment that improves wellbeing, sparks curiosity, and builds resilience. Your support directly enhances their daily life, health, and learning opportunities
Children at LEVE-MOI orphanage face overcrowded dorms, poor hygiene, and limited access to educational entertainment. Economic instability in DR Congo, high inflation, and decades of conflict have left children vulnerable to illness, trauma, and developmental delays. Without proper sleeping and learning spaces, these children risk losing hope and falling behind in their growth and education.
By equipping dormitories with beds, mattresses, and bedding, and creating a cinema room for educational films, children gain a safe and inspiring environment. Daily routines will improve, health risks decrease, and children can explore culture and knowledge through film. This holistic approach fosters well-being, creativity, and a sense of belonging in North Kivu's most vulnerable children.
Your contribution transforms 64 lives. Children will sleep peacefully, stay healthy, and access films that inspire imagination and learning. Long-term, the project builds confident, curious youth who can break cycles of poverty and trauma. Educated and well-rested children grow into active, engaged citizens who strengthen their communities.
