Adolescence is a phase of rapid growth and development during which physical, physiological and behavioral changes occur. They constitute more than 1.2 billion worldwide, and about 21% of Indian population. Morbidity and mortality occurring in this age group is mostly due to preventable causes. Young and growing children have poor knowledge and lack of awareness about physical and psychological changes that occurs during adolescence and the ill health affecting them.

Lack of accurate information, absence of proper guidance, ignorance, lack of skills and insufficient services from health care delivery system are the major barriers. Our interventions focus on providing an outlook to healthy lifestyle.  Awareness creation about reproductive and sexual health, educating teenage on hygiene, preventive measure and the consequences is the part of our Adolescent Health Program (AHP). These sessions are divided in to 10 session arranged in sequence and deliver by trained staff to the children living on Child Care Institution (CCI/ Orphanage ) This Program is rolled over all the 4 states where CSA is working in App. 50 Orphanages/CCI. Children were very respective towards the program as it was filled with lot of group activity and with audio visuals.

We have tried to bust many myths related to the subject and looking forward to Gender neutral world.
