Hi, I am back with one more exciting news. As you’ll know we are engaged to upgrade the living condition of the children living in Child Care Institution (CCI) or Orphanage. We have been dealing with the girls who have come from pathetic situation and extreme poverty. This led them to be the pray of getting physically or verbally abused many a times. Though they are in protected atmosphere in CCI we never know once they are back home what situation and risk they face.
In my previous report I have elaborated on Life skill session which we are organizing. We moved one step ahead to it and plan to empower them on Adolescent health. We at CSA were train to conduct the session for Adolescent Health Program (AHP) Wherein they are made aware of the facts they should be knowing also the safety measure and consequences of their unthoughtful act. This helped the kids to have a complete and proper knowledge to take the most important decision in their life. Not only this the impact was more seen in our Self-defense classes. With limited resources we could do the Self-defense class only for girls. We started training them on Karate Shotokon for almost 90 girls. Within 3 months 62 girls were white belt winner. Which is their 1st level. This meant a lot for the girls as we observed the change in their body language and confidence level.
Girls are more open compare to the previous situation where they were always left to stay in the room and were not allowed to come on the ground and play. This activity is well received by the kids and will be continued to see if they can excel and build career in this sector. This inspire us to do more and more for the kids!
