Improvement in Children understanding....
Improvement in Children understanding....

We are glad to tell you about our project to define educational module for CCI (Child Care Institute). Since June 2014 CSA has been introducing with the pilot project at 2 States in india for 3 different CCI. The Aim of this project is to improve the academic performance and overcoming the inferiority complex of the child as far as the education is concerned. We have come up with sessions on Life Skill Training as per WHO (World Health Organization). Once it is successful in the 3 CCI we will be implementing it to all the 50 CCI, CSA is associated with.

As Per RTE (Right to Education) we introduce the Continuous and Comprehension Evaluation (CCE) as per the method teachers makes a plan & shares it with their fellow teachers. The Concept’s ( a particular topic) effectiveness for interactive teaching is then discussed to make it successful. To make it more effective in classroom a mind map (understanding of the child before introducing the topic) is prepared. This Mind Map helps the teacher to target the proper method as per the understanding or the misunderstanding of that particular child. The method then is implemented in Class and then the post learning assessment is done to compare with the Mind map.

Therefore Each of the 3 CCI children have gone through 11 sessions of Life skill training which covers Self Awareness, Collaborative work, Critical thinking, Decision Making, Communication Etc. Alongside Quarterly Teachers training is arranged who are directly involved in teaching of the children in CCI, to introduce interactive teaching, Activity based teaching and Print rich environment in class room. At the end of the year the assessment of the subject Language and Mathematics has shown conceptual learning levels have increased in this academic year. Teacher’s feedback is more oriented towards the children and more observations of the children are noticed and recorded. CSA have observed a grate level of improvement in the method of teaching, which is the core target of teachers training. More of Action songs, ice-breaking sessions are introduced in class to create fear free/Friendly environment in the class. This technique have helped the child to realize the dreams, and channelized the thinking to achieve these dreams, along with self confidence to cope up with the team. CSA has high hopes that it will be as successful as Pilot Project, in all other CCI’s associated with CSA.
