It’s been a very difficult, frightening year for children, especially those in Child Care Homes where there has been a huge influx of children newly abandoned during Covid or have lost parents to the virus. So our mission was to help them end the year on a cheerful, loving note - by being their best Santa Claus ever!
For children living in shelter homes this season of festive cheer and happiness is just another day in their lives so we thought of making a special effort to make it a fun-filled Christmas for them this year. But with the pandemic resulting in a major crunch in funds and increasing the number of children in homes, buying gifts for each child and giving them special treats like plum cake is a luxury that they cannot afford. We have always worked towards creating and ensuring a brighter future for every child under institutional care. Often abandoned by parents, orphaned at a young age, abused or having parents who are unfit to take care of them, these children deserve a fun end to this hard pandemic year.
“We play Secret Santa with our friends, family and colleagues but who better to give a fun filled Christmas than to the kids under our care. Anyone can be a Santa to them through this campaign and fulfill their dreams,” said Henal Shah, Head Communications and Fundraising, CSA.
All it takes is 1000 to sponsor gifts and a special meal for each child. Together we can make sure these kids are warm, loved and happy so they can end a terrible year on a cheerful note. So we reached out to our Corporate Partners, platofrms like GlobalGiving and various fundraising platforms and made an effort to cheer these children by celebrating christmas, arranging a christmas party and give them happiness and good memories. With all the contributions that were rceieved we arranged christmas party across all our homes.
Our Goal was: Be the Santa Claus they all need, make them feel special at the end of a very hard pandemic year. Donate now
