Daan Utsav is a festival that is celebrated every year in the first week of October. It is a great platform wherein  people from all walks of life come together and encourage each other to celebrate “Giving” – time, money, material, skill or just love.

Every year children particpate in various activites offline and visit different places to celebrate Daan Utsav however this year was different and all of us went the digital way.

We partnered with prominent individuals, influencers & personalities and asked them to share their skills for #45MinsOfChange sessions for children in Childcare Institutions via Zoom. These were showcased across our social media platforms for our followers and supporters.

Sandip Soparkar, a national award winner and choreographer kickstarted the week with a dance lesson. This was followed by a session on illustrations and comics by Art Director Savio Mascarenhas  and a Fitness session conducted by the renowned expert, Shalini Bhargava. Coleen Khan, a celebrity hairstylist shared hairstyling tips and Marina Dutta, conducted a cultural session on Mahatma Gandhi. The action-packed week concluded with a session on classical dance by Bharatnatyam expert, Tanya Saxena and there after a session with CSA Young Adults named #ManKiBaat wherein they shared their experinces with children from various CCIs.

Through these unique and engaging learning sessions, the #ShareyourSkills campaign aimed at creating a ‘Brighter Future’ for over 2300+ Children who participated from various CCIs in Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh & Odisha for all the sessions via Zoom.

We are glad that we were able to make a positive difference in the lives of the children and experience the ‘joy of giving'.
