After extensive efforts in expanding the scale of our programs across Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in India, CSA made the decision to make a foray into Aftercare, which is, providing support to children after they move out of the CCI’s at the age of 18 and help them face the real world.
There is no greater satisfaction than seeing so many of these talented, deserving children find their passion & get a foothold into making a career for themselves! One adolescent recounts his journey –
Lucky
I was 14 years old when I was enrolled in a Child Care Institute (CCI). With very limited resources, I understood the importance of education and money at a very early age. I scored 70% in my Higher Secondary (12th grade) examination and there was still a long way to fulfill my dream of being a Chartered Accountant. With CSA’s help, I enrolled for an office administrator course at ICICI Skills Academy in Mumbai which helped me secure a job. I am now pursuing my Bachelors in Accounts & Finance from Mumbai Open University while continuing to work. I feel more confident now since I am able to take care of my daily expenses. Every day, I feel I am inching closer towards my biggest dream and that keeps me going!
