Catalysts for Social Action believes that every child matters & we keep a child centric holistic approach to rehabilitation of orphan children.
CSA initiated a Joy of Giving movement that seeks to inculcate the ‘giving’ habit in individuals. Individual volunteers promote the cause and encourage people to initiate acts of giving leading to some societal change-no matter how small.
CSA started engagement activities with a few Partner Corporate organisations & received support from individual employees too. Through this activity, CSA promoted the importance of “Giving”. Impacted employees took a step ahead to give of their resources, time, talent & skills which greatly benefits these children residing at orphanages in the form of donations & volunteering time.
CSA continued the Joy of Giving movement by supporting 2 Orphanages / Child Care Institutes located in Mumbai in planning Donor Engagement meets in order to acquaint local donors with their work & with an aim to encourage people around to participate in act of givings at the Donor meet.
Beyond Supporting Child Care Institutes, CSA reached out to a retail store in Mumbai where there were maximum opportunities for people to donate. Several citizens visiting the outlets of this retail store took notice & donated everyday items. Under the Joy Of Giving “Buy one Give one” campaign, several patrons came forward & donated items ranging from biscuits, health drinks, pulses, rice to soaps and loads of other things that was then handed over to children from a CSA supported orphanage.
Joy of Giving is not just a feeling but a responsibility which is infectious & continues to grow. It is heartening to know that people at large, care & go the extra mile to give in which ever way possible to support less priviliged children & bring hope & smiles on their faces!
We thank all our donors & supporters for making it possible for orphan children lead better, quality lives. We are currently running a campaign to help children feel better with a sweater this winter. Kindly join us in this initiative & spread the word!
