Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Breeding Programs to Save Vultures from Extinction project. Your kindness and concern for wildlife conservation are greatly appreciated. However, the donations received so far are not enough to begin the project yet, and more support is still needed.
Vultures across Nigeria continue to disappear at an alarming rate due to illegal hunting, wildlife trade, poisoning, and harmful traditional beliefs. In many communities, vultures are killed for rituals and belief-based practices, despite their important role in protecting public health and maintaining environmental balance.
Without urgent conservation action, these birds remain at serious risk of extinction, increasing environmental and disease-related risks linked to unmanaged animal carcasses and ecosystem disruption.
This project is designed to establish safe vulture breeding and conservation programs, support awareness campaigns in schools and communities, and work with local leaders, youths, women, and traditional practitioners to reduce harmful practices against vultures. Community volunteers will also help monitor vulture populations and support conservation efforts.
With the right support, more protected breeding sites can be developed to help restore vulture populations and strengthen wildlife conservation efforts across Nigeria.
We remain grateful for the support received so far and hopeful that additional donations will make it possible to begin this important environmental and wildlife protection project soon.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
