July 2026 – September 2026
At Alif Laila Book Bus Society, every improvement to our spaces is an opportunity to create something meaningful for the children, students, staff, interns, and communities we serve. Over the past three months, from July to September 2026, our team has worked to make our facilities more welcoming, functional, and conducive to learning, creativity, and collaboration. From sprucing up the garden and expanding digital learning opportunities to reorganizing educational spaces and maintaining technical resources, each initiative has contributed to strengthening the environment in which our work takes place. The period has also offered interns valuable opportunities to learn by doing, share ideas, work as a team, and contribute to the society’s ongoing development. This report captures the activities, improvements, and progress made during these three months.
1. Garden Renovation and Beautification
Over the three-month period, significant improvements were made to the garden to create a more attractive, welcoming, and engaging outdoor environment. Interns actively participated in the renovation and beautification process, gaining practical experience in teamwork and creative development.
2. Decorative and Lighting Enhancements
To improve the appearance and usability of the facility, decorative and lighting upgrades were carried out in different areas.
3. IT Room Expansion and Skills Development
The IT Room was expanded to accommodate the growing learning needs of students and provide better access to digital education.
4. EPL Room Reorganization and Interactive Learning
Following the completion of the summer camp, the EPL Room was reorganized to meet the changing needs of the society's educational activities.
With school visits and educational trips to Alif Laila Book Bus Society commencing, the room is now being utilized for a variety of interactive activities. The revised arrangement provides a flexible environment for engaging children through educational games, creative tasks, group participation, and activity-based learning.
This transition has enabled us to make better use of our indoor facilities while supporting the needs of visiting school groups.
5. Art and Craft Room Activities
The Art and Craft Room remained an active centre for creativity, practical learning, and skill development throughout the three-month period. Interns from Lahore College participated in art and craft activities, where they gained hands-on experience and explored different creative techniques. The room provided opportunities for experimentation, collaborative work, and the development of new artistic skills.
These activities encouraged creativity, improved practical abilities, and supported an environment of shared learning between interns and the society's team.
6. Packaging Depot and Educational Resource Management
The Packaging Depot continued to serve as a useful space for organizing donated materials and preparing resources for educational purposes.
The reuse of packaging paper also helped promote environmentally conscious practices within the society's operations.
7. Maintenance and Robotics Lab
The Maintenance and Robotics Lab continued to support the society's technical and educational requirements. The team worked on developing new robotics kits, repairing existing kits, and maintaining electronic equipment whenever required. These activities helped ensure that educational resources remained functional and available for future learning sessions. The lab also supported the society's commitment to practical STEM education by helping maintain the equipment needed for robotics demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences.
8. Studio Arrangement and Development
The studio was organized and equipped to provide a more suitable environment for professional and collaborative activities. The space was arranged to facilitate meetings, presentations, planning sessions, and group discussions. This improvement has strengthened the studio's role as a functional workspace for staff, interns, and other participants. The updated arrangement allows the society to use the facility more effectively for coordination, communication, and collaborative projects.
Looking Ahead
The past three months have been a period of meaningful progress for Alif Laila Book Bus Society, bringing together facility improvements, educational development, technical support, and hands-on internship experiences. Each initiative, whether refreshing a shared space, making learning resources more accessible, or supporting the development of practical skills, contributes to the our wider mission of creating opportunities for children and young people. As we move forward, these improvements will continue to support future educational programmes, encourage creative exploration, strengthen digital and practical learning opportunities, and help ensure that our facilities remain welcoming, useful, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.
