STEPS NGO committed to providing good quality health care to women living in villages. Due to high risk behavior rural women are more prone to Breast and Cervical cancers. During initial screening of cancers providing treatment for infectious diseases also. STEPS creates an environment where rural women feel safe and comfortable to talk about their social or domestic problems, report abuse or ask health related questions. STEPS sharing information about breast and cervical cancer. Helping, guiding and continue to provide much needed breast cancer screening and other women’s health related screening to all women and extended communities.
The women expressed their appreciation for visits offered by STEPS in their place where they live because they do not have a specialized doctor and they are not able to travel to cities for specialised hospital for treatment and advice due to the financial difficulties.
One of the women expressed “because of STEPS support and through cancer awareness and initial cancer screening of us we could able to live safe and comfortable life”.
