The project is dedicated to supporting children and adolescents at risk and in situations of social vulnerability in Brazil. Our main goal is to reduce rights violations and exposure to street situations, violence, alcohol, drugs, abuse, child labor, and sexual exploitation. To achieve this, we use play, recreational experiences, socio-educational activities, and artistic awareness as tools to promote individual expression, interaction, and social protection.
In Diadema, families face significant vulnerabilities - high unemployment rates and low income levels contribute to widespread poverty. Violence is prevalent, exacerbating the instability and insecurity of daily life. Education quality is inadequate, hindering opportunities for children and youth. Many families experience food insecurity, leading to chronic hunger. Rights violations, including exposure to child labor and exploitation, further undermine the well-being and future of the community
Our work addresses community needs through 4 key areas. Culture Access offers free workshops in music, dance, and visual arts to foster creativity and cultural appreciation. Education for Equity provides free tutoring and projects for vulnerable students. Social Development and Training offers free courses for personal and professional growth, improving job market readiness and family incomes. Social and Emotional Support includes routine monitoring and psychological assistance for those in need
Collectively, these initiatives create a comprehensive support system that empowers individuals, promotes resilience, and enhances the overall quality of life. By addressing the root causes of poverty and providing tools for personal and professional development, we aim to create a self-sustaining cycle of growth and opportunity, ensuring a brighter, more prosperous future for generations to come, breaking the poverty cycle.
