Eggs are good to kids' health.
Eggs are good to kids' health.

Breakfast for kids project aims to solve the problem that disadvantage kids (students) do not have meal before going to school, encourage parents’ awareness of breakfast and educate parents and partners to be part of preparation breakfast for their kids.

Indicators

1. All kids (students) have breakfast every day.

2. 80 % of kids’ (students) absent days were reduced.

3. 80 % of kids (students) are good attitude at meals.

4. 80 % of kids (students) attend school and CCF’s activities.

5. 80 % of kids (students) weight and height are more than before attending the project.

Because of Covid-19 situation, CCF has still supported budget to Breakfast for kids project, schools must do in many ways;

  1. Kids (students) have breakfast at school when they go to school to learn by Onsite.
  2. Kids (students) have brought meal back home when they learn by On hand/Online at home.
  3. Kids (students) have brought ingredients to cook at their home when they learn by On hand/Online
  4. Schools have comfortably prepared breakfast for them.

Though CCF and schools have tried hard to move on for this project, we faced some problems as below;

  1. In Southern area, kids (students) or parents are late to bring ingredients back home in rainy season.
  2. Some kids (students) who are the group at risk of Covid-19 could not come to bring food. Schools had to give them at home.

Follow up and evaluation

  1. CCF Staff and teachers follow up and evaluate once a month.
  2. Schools hold the meeting to summarize the outputs and outcomes once a semester and report to CCF.
  3. Schools interview kids (students), parents, teachers and school directors
  4. Schools send the report to CCF once a month.

Good Stories

Mr. A, one of school director says “parents are disadvantage, they have to work hard and go to bed late at night. They do not prepare breakfast in the morning, so kids (students) do not have meal before going to school. Breakfast for kids project supported by CCF is very important and meaningful to kids (students). They can have breakfast and learn happily all day.”

Patcharee, one of kids (students) says “I am happy to have breakfast every day and thank you very much to make me healthy and ready to learn.”

           Because of donors, disadvantage kids (students) can have breakfast every day. THANK YOU.
