More than 684,000 people have been displaced within Gaza, while 1.14 million are facing a severe food crisis. This project will establish the Palestine Bread Factory in northern Gaza to produce and distribute fresh bread daily for displaced families, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. It will also create job opportunities by involving local workers in the bakery operation.
Families in Gaza are struggling to access safe, affordable, and consistent food. Many have lost their homes, income, and access to basic daily needs. Displaced families, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities are among the most affected. Without regular food support, many are left facing hunger while trying to survive in extremely difficult conditions.
This project will build a manually operated bakery in northern Gaza to produce fresh bread every day. The bread will be distributed fairly to displaced families, shelters, low-income communities, and vulnerable groups. The project will also involve Gaza workers in production, helping provide both daily food support and local livelihood opportunities.
The bakery will provide a more consistent and organized source of food for families in Gaza. Beyond emergency relief, it will support local recovery by creating jobs, strengthening community resilience, and reducing reliance on one-time food aid. For families facing hunger, daily bread can bring strength, dignity, and hope to keep going.
