Each of our units hosted our annual Trunk or Treat nights at the end of October and they were huge successes. Over the two days, more than 1,300 children, families, volunteers, and staff attended the events. We are incredibly grateful to have such an amazing and supportive community dedicated to our mission. Community nights like these help our our families stay connected, embrace fun-family time, and support them by providing additional resources. Each of our Trunk of Treats included mental health service providers, food pantries, local churches, and community stakeholders each providing not only a fun experience but also connecting families to additional assistance they might need.
We know that when our families are well cared for and engaged our member children do better in school and overall. For some, finding a safe, close place to trick or treat can be a challenge and we know that by providing a safe space we are eliminating a barrier for families.
The pictures speak for themselves and we are grateful to have such a wonderful community of in-person and online donors.
