Summer is a busy time at the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County. We provide a 10-week Summer Blast program designed to help our members maintain strong academic skills, engage in more outdoor play, and enjoy special field trips and events. Academic success continues to be a focus area for both locations. Each day members spend time in the learning center, computer lab, or STEM lab to work on academic fundamentals especially reading. We know the summer is often a time of regression in academics, therefore, we work to help members maintain and improve in these areas. Thanks to donor support we have been able to purchase a 3-d printer, new books, additional licenses for the reading software, and more engaging games. The kids are loving the Summer Blast program and we are happy to see a solid mix of learning, problem-solving, interactive play, and creativity.
