What a nice surprise as we saw enter into our boxing gym Edgar Davids! The worldwide football player of Juventus, Milan and Barcelona is also known for its 74 selections in the Dutch national team. Edgar Davids did us the honour to participate in our boxing session, organised for the 9th Youth Leadership Camp of the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace.
A striking moment, which will be remembered, was when Edgar Davids boxed against the Kenyan boxing champion Onyango Sonko: impressive sportsman and woman in action!
After kindly let the participants take pictures with him, Edgar Davids give us an inspiring speech about not giving up on our goals in sport as well as in life. Our goal is to reach the 3.070 reminding Euros, can you make it happen?
