READ to RISE's year is off to a great start. Our school visits for School Term 1 are underway in Mitchells Plain and Soweto.
We have conducted 71 Class Programmes at 11 schools in 2026 so far - giving out 3,437 brand new Oaky story books! The learners were excited to head about the new Oaky story and were happy to get a copy of the book to take home. Grade 2 learners received Oaky and the Sun books and Grade 3 learners received Oaky Runs a Race books.
Our teams in Mitchells Plain and Soweto are busy with the school visits. School visited include Rocklands Primary School, Mitchells Plain Primary School, Dennegeur Primary School, Seapark Ridge Primary School, Eisleben Primary School, Diodi Primary School, Khuthala Primary School and Thatani Primary School.
Our teams look forward to visiting more schools, encouraging children to read and giving them new books to take home!
