During July 2024, READ to RISE visited 10 primary schools in Mitchels Plain where 1,381 Grade 2 learners benefited from the READ to RISE Class Programme and received a brand new story book to take home.
Schools include Dennegeur Primary School, Strandfontein Primary School, Mitchells Plain Primary School, Seaview Primary School, Spineview Primary School, Eastville Primary School, Wespoort Primary School, Parkhurst Primary School, Rocklands Primary School and Hillside Primary School.
The children were excited to see the READ to RISE team and get their books - OAKY Runs a Race - which teaches us about the importance of friendship.
We thank all our sponsors who have helped us so far to get children excited about reading in South Africa.
