Courageous

THE GREAT WORK
It was great! Great indeed! Support from locals, natives and goodhearted people like you has kept him breathing with strength and ideas. Our client was able to move around the community with us, C4HDI and volunteers, soliciting for help and support. His house roofs is wearing a new look this present rainy season as some community youths organized by C4HDI with the help of community authorities came around to fix some sheets of zinc roof for him. Well, it was able to cover a room completely and left the others quarter covered. At this, our client also helped in many versions of the activity with joy. He could move his chairs out of the way to a particular spot to allow workers climb the roof and, like a professional, he got the chairs back to former position after work. He would do so many other things more if he gets more support.

HE JOINED US

On Sunday, our beneficiary joined C4HDI to do our traditional Community Development Work in clearing the sewage gutters of debris deposited by rainfall which disallows the free flow of water to peter away into the stream. He was assigned a helper who monitored him for mistakes. He didn't make much mistakes as he worked with his hand gloves to pick lumps of debris into the bin we provided. He was giving us "musical vibes' with his bass voice. Songs that elated our hearts. Songs that reminded us that there's no alternative to humanitarian activities. He sang " whatsoever you do, to the least of my brothers, that you do on to me. When I was hungry you have me to eat. When I was thirsty you have me to drink, I now enter into the house of my father...'
MOVING AHEAD

At the end of the activities, we approached him to encourage him with the songs. He told us that he was waiting for our support to sponsor him to wax and sell his songs. We noted this down into our data.

OUR DEBATE CLUB

In C4HDI's ongoing campaign for formation of a Story Telling Club which has pleased our local community so much so that it attracted more volunteers to our organization. We printed fliers, made billboards and contracted radio jingles in our local community radio stations for this.
Our client was not left out as he indicated his interest and capabilities to deliver authentic stories which qualified him to join the proposed Story Telling Club. In our meticulous manner to ensure his qualification, he was interviewed and tested. He was asked questions, and we deliberately debated with him to ascertain his ability. He left our panel of judges convinced and scored an excellent mark, better than some others.
His ambition was noted and we are on the mission to support him more in this direction.

Our following newsletter will capture more pix of our beneficiary

Thank you.
