Bitone Updates: SEPTEMBER 2012

By Branco Sekalegga | Executive Director

SALUTATIONS:
Hello there!

Welcome to this month’s edition of news and updates from Bitone Children's Center. It is our hope that you have had a great time since we last communicated with you. We are sending you warm and heartfelt greetings from Bitone children, staff and community friends. And we wish you the most refreshing spring 2012.

APPRECIATION
We deeply want to thank you so much for your moral, technical and financial support you offer to Bitone Children’s Center through GlobalGiving. It is no doubt that your generosity has kept us going especially at this time as we continue to experience economic crisis.

Many thanks go to all of you that supported us during the recently concluded Global Giving Bonus Day. As you are aware, all the funds your donated on the bonus day will go directly to clear educational related needs (school fees, uniforms, school shoes) for our children for this current  academic term/semester.

BITONE TROUPE:

The troupe’s vision is that by providing artistic training in music and dance, our children’s lives can again become meaningful and productive. We aim at providing the next generation of Ugandans to fully participate and assume leadership roles in their communities

Our efforts in elevating Bitone children’s skills in music and dance practices have continued to yield excellent results. There is no doubt that values of self-esteem, confidence and trustworthiness continue to grow in each child everyday. Through their practices and performances, children lay a solid foundation to their future as they both physically, emotionally and intellectually grow–creating greater horizons and assurance for their future.

How To Get Involved?

You may get involved and make a difference in the lives of our children by either directly sponsoring a child’s education (fees + scholastic) or by supporting Bitone Children's Center’s Rental fees, Children’s Feeding, Children’s Medical Welfare or Bitone Troupe’s needs (sound equipment and Transport/vehicle).

Bitone is still facing challenges to purchase enough food for its children due to the rising food costs. Every day, Bitone spends about $1.00 on every child’s feeding.

Once again, thank you so much for taking time to read our monthly updates and as always, we look forward to hearing from you.
