Dear supporters,
We've ran our Birch Grove Nature Preserve project for over three years now. It's a pristine piece of land that we were proud to help protect and keep it in its natural state while replanting damaged areas. As of this autumn we have decided to pass the baton to some local communitiy members who are motivated to continue this project. We will continue to work alongside them and support them in any way we can by teaching them about good preservation practices, what kinds of trees to plant, and generally how to keep this area from being logged out like so many other beautiful areas nearby.
It feels a bit bittersweet to us to pass this project on but this was our goal from the beginning, to inspire motivation in protecting Mongolia's beautiful natural areas and we are happy to see our local community members stepping up to do that.
We'll be closing this project on GlobalGiving but if you would like to inquire about how this project is going in the future please feel free to email us.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
