Bioconstructing Community Spaces improves access to safe and inclusive educational, environmental, and recreational spaces in Anderson neighborhood, Moreno, Argentina. The project will build a 36 m classroom using sustainable bioconstruction techniques while training community members in natural building methods through participatory workshops. The new space will strengthen local learning opportunities, community engagement, and long-term neighborhood development.
Vicky Popular Library carries out educational, cultural, and community activities in inadequate and insufficient spaces. The neighborhood also faces a lack of quality educational and community infrastructure, limiting opportunities for learning, gathering, and development for children, youth, and adults.
The project will build a sustainable community classroom through bioconstruction techniques and participatory work. This new space will expand workshops and activities year-round, while training local residents in sustainable construction and strengthening community participation.
The classroom will remain as permanent community infrastructure, expanding the library's educational and recreational capacity. In addition, trained participants will be able to replicate these techniques in their homes or other spaces, promoting housing improvements, new job opportunities, and sustainable local development.
