Dear Friends! Today is a bonus day on Globalgiving. All donations will be increased (see the details below). Also I want to tell you the story of two our student.
Tania and Vasia.
Tania's mother had died two weeks after giving birth, her father began to drink. Her aunt took her sister and had decided to leave her at the orphanage since she had her own five children and could not feed all of them. Eventually she came to visit Tania and brought something to eat.
Tania: "When I was 19 I had to leave the orphanage and was given a flat. I did not even imagine how I am going to leave alone and study alongside employment and sports. I used to live at the orphanage and be provided with food and lodging. I was very scared when I was left alone. And after that I knew about "Big Change”, phoned and said that I want to finish my school education, to get rid of my disadvantages and to learn how to see life with different angle. And later enter some university to study sport. When I was learning at "Big Change” I felt like I have a second breath after my working hours. I did not expect to come into such a school where I will be listened, understood and supported.
When I was 27 years old I finished the 9th grade of comprehensive school and came to teacher training college. Last year I finished it and became the teacher of adaptive physical culture, got a job."
Vasia: "At first I was brought up in orphanage and studied according to the correctional program. n 16 years I was transferred to orphanage for mentally retarded children, and on it my study ended I was transferred to the orphanage for mentally retarded children, and on it my study had ended. At 18 I appeared in the closed psycho neurological boarding school (STUBS) for adults who can’t live independently.
But I did not want to be provided with board and lodging. I wanted to have normal education, apartment, profession, wanted to leave psycho neurological mental house, to work as everyone works, to have a family and children. A friend of mine and my tutor told me about “Big Change” and at 18 I went to study again.
In 4 years I received the certificate for 9 classes. I received the lawful long-awaited apartment later. I went to the culinary college and graduated from it. I started to work for the restaurant at “Renaissance Monarch Center” hotel. And again I went to study. Now to the Moscow financial and economic institute, to become a manager."
Last year Tania and Vasia got married. At the end of December 2015, before New Year, their son Pavlik was born. They continue to study and they are helped by teachers and mentors from «Big Change»!
