Today I want to tell you about our student Oleg and also about the bonus day of Globalgiving in March 16.
Oleg C. - 18 years old, he is an orphan since childhood, since 7 years he was living in the correctional orphanage. When he was 12 years, he was taken to a foster family for a year, then he was returned to the orphanage.
Since January 2016 he lives alone in his apartment. In the orphanage he finished 9 classes on the correctional program. He graduated 2 years course in college on a specialty "Cook." Currently looking for a job in this field. He has a diagnosis of "mild mental retardation". Oleg studies in Big Change since September 2012.
By May 2016, Oleg plans to complete a 7th grade general educational program in all subjects. In addition to academic achievements, Big Change’ teachers note the development of his business communication skills, the ability to plan and organize his life. Thus during this half of the year Oleg showed steady dynamics in the analysis of his features and the design of strategies and tactics to overcome his own difficulties. Also he showed sustainable dynamics in the formulation of realistic objectives and plan of action to achieve them. It was seen while he spent the scholarships to prepare his own apartment, during his independent living, and in his searching for a job.
Dear friends!
March 16 will be a bonus day on GlobalGiving .
Globalgiving will increase every single donation between 9.00 EDT and 23.59 EDT of 16 March! It is 16.00 of 16 March to 6.59 of 17 March on Moscow time! Previous year the percentage increase was more that 25%!
We would also appreciate if you could share this with your friends and help us enlarge a circle of people, who would be willing to support youngsters raised in the orphanages!
Thank you so much for supporting us and give us an opportunity to continue our common cause!
