The Big Change Team is proud to present our latest news!
First, I want to tell you the story of our student Volodya. Volodya lives in a psychoneurological mental home. He moves in a wheelchair and has chronic diseases. He studies in Big Change for third year.:Volodya grew up in an orphanage for disabled, where he studied on a correctional program. But he is able and wants to study on an ordinary program. He studies in Big Change for third year. Problems with health do not always allow him to come for study in Big Change so now he has a lot of classes via skype. In addition to his curriculum, Volodya receives mentor’s support and also participates in cognitive programs – developing self-education skills “self-study” program, disciplinary and interdisciplinary cognitive programs, programs introducing to cultural life, program for developing communicative skills. Mentor helps Volodya to set priorities in education and to overcame everyday difficulties. Volodya is well enough motivated for study, what makes us happy. He has a lot of plans and we can help him to realize them together with you!
Now for the results - during 2014-2015 Big Change help over 70 young adults in different ways: some students study at classes, some attend extra-curricular classes, and some receive support in difficult life circumstances.
With the help of 27 teaches the Educational Center held more than 1800 lessons on 8 school subjects on the previous 4 months (January – April). Also we’ve provided 1 annual international conference, 4 musical lounges, 8 trips and excursions and visited 4 plays at the theatre with students.
Volodya and other students of Big Change study thanks to your support, thank you very much again for that!
