Big Change Report (Sept 2013)

By Irina Ryazanova | Executive Director of "Big Change"

Dear Friends!

I want to express my sincere love, gratitude and appreciation to all those who took part in the work of the foundation and supported our students. Within 11 years of our work, the circle of people who care about the children from Russian ophanages, is getting wider and wider. It includes our teachers, donors, volunteers, partners and friends. Thank you very much for your dedicated work and support!

Recently government started to show more attention to the children who have no parents or family. Many changes are taking place in the sphere of social care and education in our country nowadays, and it definitely affects orphans as well as the orphanages. Serious changes of the system are always hard to bare, especially for the participants of the process.

Of course, each party – government officials, orphanage staff, representatives of different NGOs have their own look and answer to the situation, but only by summing up our opinions in an active dialog, we can present holistic and objective picture.

I do believe that the quality of above mentioned communication and the aid of those who care are the two main things required to guarantee a better future for the children who were raised in the system of orphanages all over Russia.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
