Beyoncé has teamed up with UNICEF to launch BeyGood4Burundi, an initiative through her BeyGOOD philanthropic arm focused on providing safe, clean, potable water to the most vulnerable children in Burundi. The partnership – proudly supported by CHIME for CHANGE and GUCCI –will support programs to improve water, sanitation and basic hygiene practices in the hardest-to-reach areas of the landlocked East African nation, where nearly half the population has no access to safe water.
More updates to come, as we all embark on helping children survive and thrive in Burundi. For more information on our work in Burundi, check out the attached story and photo of a girl from a household in the commune of Chombo, Karuzi province, in the centre-north of Burundi that was included in a Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) project.
