This year Between the Lines had four planned readings - 3 at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, OR (Female facility) and 1 at Santiam Correctional Facility in Salem, OR (Male facility). These readings provided a great opportunity for parents to choose a book for their child and make a recording of themself reading the book. Both the book and recording are then sent to the child as a way to maintain a connection to their parent. We have completed 3 readings so far and mailed out a parent recording and brand-new gift wrapped book to 100 children. Our annual bookfair at Barnes & Noble in December 2014 raised $193 for the organization and resulted in 30 donated books. Our last reading of the year will take place on Saturday April 11th with Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.
