Between the Lines is off to a great start for the 2014-2015 League year. Our first reading took place on Saturday Sept 27th at the Coffee Creek Womens Correctional facility in the minimum security section. We recorded 27 women reading to 43 children. We received tons of positive feedback from the women, both verbally and on the surveys that we have the women fill out after the readings. Multiple women commented on how their children love to read and how this program helps the women feel connected to their children through the readings.
Between The Lines will be hosting a bookfair fundraiser on Sunday Nov 30th from 12-4 at the Barnes and Noble at Bridgeport Village. This event will be used to raise funds to by books for the program.
