2013 is here and anticipation fills the air
The Tupendane Tufanye Kazi HIV support group met last week to set pace for the coming 12 months with the following areas of focus:-
a. Savings: where the savings will go towards building a revolving fund for micro lending to help improve businesses being run by members of the group
b. Micro-health insurance; that will see Acres of Mercy match every shilling contributed to the scheme in a ratio 1:1
c. Goat/Sheep/Chicken Passing the Gift Program: A program where the animals are to be passed on to members of the group who are yet to receive.
This will also include a recruitment drive to grow the impact of the group
2012 October-November Harvest
The crop in the season Oct -Nov was affected by lack of water and dried up after the first month of harvesting.
We took steps to naturally sterilize the greenhouse to ensure that the next crop will be less affected.
We are currently beginning preparations to plant for the April-Oct season.
