This beekeeping project in Kanga Village is ARC's newest addition to GlobalGiving and we couldn't be more thrilled to be promoting forest conservation and contributing to local livelihoods all at the same time. It is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Thank you for so generously donating to this project and helping to get it off the ground!
The goal of the project is to provide the community with 40 additional beehives and the necessary tools and protective gear, as well as ten days of training (please see budget attachment on GlobalGiving project page for full details). The first $1,500 we raise will allow us to launch the project with an initial 15 hives and training workshop. You will be the first to know when this happens.
Please help us spread the word about this project during the holiday season. GlobalGiving makes it super easy to make a donation in honor of a friend or loved one and will send the gift recipient a customized email, print-at-home, or physical tribute card – your choice!
From all of us at ARC, warmest wishes this holiday season. We look forward to being in touch in early 2012 with another project update.
