Dear Donor,
We’ve already received generous early contributions, but we still need a minimum of $2,000 to build and plant the Casa Bee Gardens. They will be raised to make it simpler for our kids to see what is growing and to work in the gardens. Once this amount is raised, we will immediately purchase the materials needed to construct the accessible garden beds, prepare the space so students and easliy access the beds, and buy some plants.
The next $2,000 will fund the Melipona beecheii hives and the specialized equipment required to care for them. The final $2,000 will support ongoing upkeep of the gardens and hives, ensuring the project remains healthy, productive, and enriching for the students for many years.
We are fortunate to have a team of local volunteers ready to help with building, planting, and maintenance. Because of their commitment, every dollar raised goes directly toward tools, materials, and the resources the children need.
If these first set gardens thrive—as we believe it will—we hope to expand the program to the middle school and high school so students can continue developing their skills, confidence, and connection to nature as they grow.
