The services we provide at Community Warehouse add up to much more than mattresses and dining room tables. These essential household items help families begin new lives of security, self-sufficiency and success. With a cozy home full of furniture, our clients can focus on building brighter futures.
Portland Metro’s housing crisis is one many organizations are working to solve. With local cities and counties devoting resources to addressing the crisis, Community Warehouse is proving to be an important part of the solution to housing stability.
With the increased push to house those in need, the demand for our services has only grown. In 2024 alone, we distributed 106,329 items to local families, a 53% increase from 2023, and served over 7,600 individuals.
In a landscape of increased need for our services, Community Warehouse is expanding throughout the Portland Metro area to meet our clients closer to home. This year our Gresham donation center will become a fully operational Furniture Bank, serving clients through Virtual Appointments and delivering the furniture they choose directly to their door.
At her appointment, our client Keri shared this:
"I’m particularly happy about my sofa, because I went so long without one. And just to have something to sit on so I don’t sit on the floor. My house at this point, it's basically a shell and it is no home. There's no comfort, and people come over and I'm embarrassed to have them come over and see my new apartment without anything in it. You guys are what is making my apartment into a home. I just couldn't say thank you enough.”
Your support creates stable homes for neighbors in need. Thank you for helping us fulfill our mission and providing local families with the dignity and comfort of a furnished home.
