Sega Girls School Plans for Computer Expansion

By Tracey Dolan | Co-founder Nurturingmindinafrica.org

Sega Girls School Campus
Sega Girls School Campus

Our new students who started in January are fully settled  into campus life, studies and their dorms & furnishings thanks to Global Giving supporters.

Sega has just received news of a USAID award that will enable it to expand its computer lab from 7 to  50 computers for our 180 students. This will be a tremendous improvement allowing more students to access computers and develop their skills.

In March, Sega celebrated International Women's Day. Excerpt from the student speech:

Up to now we see a lot of changes for women's development.  We have equal rights between men and women and also women's have a chance of sharing ideas and become leaders.  A good example is from our lovely school SEGA, the head of the school is a woman.  As a peer educator club up to now we learn a lot of thing and the important thing which have already learned is "Women have a good chance more than men."

Thank you for your support
