Lately, our veterinarian, Peter Rogers, visited us at DAKTARI to do the yearly check-up of our beloved lion brothers - Telo & Duma.
Annually our lions need vaccinations against rabies as well as deworming to keep their health at its best.
As Telo and Duma have been residents of DAKTARI for many years they recognize the veterinarian and try to keep away from him when they see him. However, this doesn’t stop Mr Rogers from doing his job, as he injects the vaccine by darting it with his excellent aim.
The visit proceeded as expected, and we are happy to know that our lions are well-protected against sickness and intestinal parasites going forward.
