After a long break, we have now decided to explore a Beat Making lab in India. After meeting Deepa Chopra last year, his team has committed to helping bring a Beat Making Lab to India.
We just got back from a pre-production trip to Bangalore, India. We met a great community center to host the lab, and have lots of local support from the musicians, dancers and entrepeneurs. Attatched are pictures from our pre-prodution trip last week.
Our next step is to make sure we have the funds to complete a lab. We are interested in making a longer form video (either a TV show 30 minutes or doc film) instead of our normal short web series. We are also considering going to several cities in India, with the youth from previous labs and the India lab being the leaders/instructors. It would be interesting to go very in depth in one country, instead of moving around so much like we have done before. With Deepak and his team's support, this is possible.
