Celebrate World Water Day By Aiding a Water Crisis

Dear Water Warrior,

Happy World Water Day!

We take this auspicious occasion to provide an update about BARKA's 20-well project in the eastern region of Burkina Faso:

We recently met with our lead Rotary partner, the Marblehead Rotary Club, to confirm their intention to successfully raise the necessary funds this year.
BARKA has agreed to update the needs assessment on the ground and to determine the areas of greatest need in the commune of Fada in order to know where the 20 wells will be drilled.
Because of increased insecurity and terrorism in the eastern region, Fada N'Gourma is now overrun with more than 40,000 internally displaced persons. Fada's water and sanitation infrastructure was inadequate beforehand and has now reached crisis levels.

Your support is needed to send a message that the need is urgent and to begin the fundraising process so that these wells can be drilled as soon as possible.
