A School Bag Can Carry More Than Books
For many children growing up in poverty, going to school is already a difficult journey. Some walk long distances, come from families struggling to afford food, and live in communities where even basic educational supplies are a luxury.
For these children, something as simple as a school bag can make a meaningful difference.
Instead of carrying books in their hands or in worn-out plastic bags, children deserve to walk into school carrying their books with dignity, confidence, and hope.
That is why Moses Welfare Foundation launched Bags of Hope.

The Challenge: When Basic School Supplies Become a Luxury
Thousands of children from poor and brick kiln communities attend school without a proper school bag or essential stationery.
Some carry their books in their hands. Others use plastic bags or old, damaged containers.
This may seem like a small problem, but for a child already facing poverty, it can become another reason to feel different, embarrassed, or discouraged.
When children lack basic educational materials, their ability to participate confidently in school can suffer. Over time, discouragement can contribute to irregular attendance and, ultimately, dropping out.
No child should have to choose between education and dignity.
Our Solution: A Bag Filled with Possibility
Through Bags of Hope, we aim to provide poor and brick kiln children with:
These are simple items, but their impact can be powerful.
A school bag protects a child's books.
Stationery helps a child learn.
And receiving something new can tell a child:
“Your education matters. Your future matters. You matter.”
More Than a School Bag
We believe education is one of the strongest pathways out of poverty.
A child who stays in school has a greater opportunity to develop knowledge, confidence, and skills for the future.
For children living in vulnerable communities, education can mean a chance to move away from child labor, reduce the cycle of poverty, and create new opportunities for their families.
Our goal is not simply to distribute bags.
Our goal is to help children stay in school, keep learning, and continue believing in their future.

With only $2 raised toward our $12,000 goal, we are at the very beginning of this journey.
We are deeply thankful to the four donors who have already stood with these children. Their support has helped us take the first step.
But $11,998 remains to reach our goal.
We cannot do this alone.
