Many children from low-income and vulnerable families in Georgia begin the school year without the basic things they need. For families already struggling to cover food, rent, medicine, and other necessities, the cost of backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and shoes can be impossible to manage. Children should not feel excluded or unprepared at school simply because their families cannot afford these essentials.
This project will prepare 50 children for the new school year by providing the items they need most, including backpacks, notebooks, stationery, clothing, shoes, and other essential school supplies. Support will be based on each child's individual needs, allowing families to focus their limited resources on other necessities while their children begin school properly equipped and ready to learn.
