Supplies for GOOD+ Fatherhood Initiative

To celebrate Father's Day and the incredible dads who participate in Baby Buggy's Fatherhood Initiative programs in New York and Los Angeles, we recently held a fantastic family bowling event in each city.  Members of our national Fatherhood Leadership Council (including Council Chair, Jerry Seinfeld and LA Fatherhood Bowling Host, James Van Der Beek) hosted these fun-filled afternoons to provide the dads and kids in Baby Buggy's fatherhood programs with a special opportunity to celebrate father's day and make memories with their children.  Members of the Fatherhood Leadership Council also bowled with their children, allowing for some great bonding and conversation among a diverse group of dads and kids. 

In addition to providing the high-quality baby gear, diapers, books, clothing, and educational toys that many dads in our programs need to more fully engage with their children's development, Baby Buggy has heard over and over again from our program faciliators that one of the most incredible gifts we can give these children is simply more time with dad and opportunities to forge meaningful memories.  These bowling outings allowed the dads from our programs to provide their children with a fun, relaxed family-friendly activity without having to worry about how to make ends meet for at least one afternoon.  The families bowled, ate delicious food, played ping pong, enjoyed a make-your-own-sundae bar, and of course, posed in our photo booths.

Events like this would simply not be possible without your support and without the support of generous donors like UPPAbaby and 4MOMS, who donated more than $50k in children's gear, including strollers, car seats and play yards, as part of their sponsorship of the Baby Buggy Fatherhood Initiative in New York and Los Angeles.  By supporting this innovative effort, you are helping to provide fathers who are working hard to be incredible dads, despite major financial and personal obstacles, with the essential gear they need to keep their children happy and healthy while also helping them forge lasting memories.

At Baby Buggy, we believe that every day is Father's Day, but we were thrilled to be able to celebrate the critical role dads play in the health and well-being of their children at these two very special bowling outings.  Happy Father's Day to all!
