Good Thinkers Organization (GTO) is pleased to share a major success of its continuous advocacy efforts for the betterment of the local community.

For several months, GTO held multiple meetings with the honorable Member of National Assembly (MNA), Mr. Saad Waseem Sheikh, regarding the construction of the main road leading to Al-Khair Hospital, Ali Park, Kasur. The condition of this road had been extremely poor, with large water ponds and a slippery surface, creating daily difficulties and dangerous situations for local residents.

Women, children, persons with disabilities, and elderly people were the most affected, as the unsafe road posed serious risks to their health and mobility. Patients visiting Al-Khair Hospital also faced hardships, especially during rainy days when the road became almost impassable.

After consistent follow-ups and strong advocacy by GTO’s team, Mr. Saad Waseem Sheikh assured his full support and approved the construction of this much-needed road. Today, the road has been fully constructed, and people are now able to pass safely and comfortably without any danger.

This achievement is a landmark success for GTO’s community advocacy interventions. It reflects how collaborative efforts between civil society organizations and government representatives can bring tangible change in people’s lives.

GTO extends heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders, community members, and especially Mr. Saad Waseem Sheikh for making this possible. This success inspires GTO to continue working for the rights, safety, and well-being of marginalized communities in Kasur.
