Improved Sanitation Condition in Kasur

GTO-Pakistan's Advocacy Leads to Road and Sanitation Work in Kasur

Good Thinkers Organization-Pakistan (GTO-Pakistan) recently achieved a major milestone in its ongoing mission to improve public health and living conditions for underserved communities. Through focused advocacy meetings with Members of Parliament, GTO successfully pushed for urgent infrastructure development near to Al-Khair Hospital, Kasur.

The area had long suffered from open wastewater and stagnant water, making it difficult and dangerous for local residents—especially patients, women, and the elderly—to access the hospital. Poor sanitation had also contributed to frequent outbreaks of waterborne diseases, affecting the most vulnerable.

After multiple meetings and sustained follow-up, the construction of road and sanitation services has now begun. The first phase—earth filling of the main road—is currently underway. This road is not only a lifeline for Al-Khair Hospital but is also a critical access route for several nearby villages and thickly populated areas. Improving this road means easier access to healthcare, schools, markets, and other essential services for hundreds of families.

This achievement is a powerful example of how community-driven advocacy can transform lives. GTO-Pakistan remains committed to working hand-in-hand with local authorities and communities to build a healthier, safer, and more dignified future for the people of Kasur.
