Thanks to the support from GlobalGiving.This fund has helped us by providing assistive devices to our beneficiaries. The assistive devices have helped to increase the student participation and give independence. Assistive device helps to enables visually impaired students to access and store the information libraries around the world and internet.
Assistive technology is an umbrella term for assistive products and their related systems and services. Assistive technology enables and promotes the inclusion, participation and engagement of persons with disabilities, ageing populations and people living with chronic conditions in the family, community and all areas of society, including the political, economic and social spheres.
This being the case, at IAB, we aim to provide our visually challenged students with the right devices which will help make their lives easier and those that help them be on devices with the sighted individuals. We are glad to be a part of GlobalGiving, as providing assistive devices to our students has been a lot easier by connecting with generous donors.
Using technology kit for a marginalized people is a day dream and most pressing need in today’s life. Though Education has started to move towards the virtual mode/ platform, knowledge & devices are much needed for the children to carry out their education.
