Marhaba from Insan,
In the last few months, Insan continued to provide psychosocial support sessions to vulnerable parents, youth and children from different nationalities across Lebanon. Parents are acquiring new skills and knowledge about coping mechanisms, which is especially needed in the current socioeconomic crisis that Lebanon is experiencing. Also, they are learning how to act more positive and supportive with their children.
At the same time, youth and children are learning how to express themselves, build healthy relationships, overcome traumatic events and boost their self-esteem through interactive activities, games and different group discussions.
Moreover, social workers at Insan are continuously conducting house visits into the homes of disadvantaged families. This allows them to put in place a family plan and refer individuals to case management assistance which may include medical support, food boxes, hygiene kits and other basic needs support depending on the specific case.
Psychologists at Insan continue to provide individual psychological counseling for adults, youth and children who are in need of mental health support. Support is provided for individuals who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suffer from anxiety, major depression or experience any suicidal thoughts or acts.
Thank you for believing in Insan and making vulnerable communities more resilient, empowered and able to live with dignity which is one of the minimal aspects of human rights.
Best regards,
The INSAN team
