Marhaba from INSAN,
Currently, Lebanon ranks first worldwide in hosting the largest number of refugees in relation to its national population. Lebanon's humanitarian crisis has negatively impacted the Syrian refugee population’s access to justice and other basic legal services.
With the aim to seek justice and equity for vulnerable individuals and marginalized communities in order to better tackle their legal needs, promoting social justice and empowerment; INSAN helped and supported vulnerable individuals, including Syrian refugees, to overcome obstacles to access justice.
Within the past months, INSAN’s team of lawyers and paralegals helped in raising awareness on the importance of marriage and birth registration and other legal matters to approximately 900 beneficiaries, offered legal counselling to 300 beneficiaries and provided legal representation in court or public administration to approximately 75 beneficiaries.
Thank you for supporting us and the vulnerable communities in Lebanon to access social justice.
Best regards,
The INSAN team
