The project aims to provide comprehensive health care to patients and families at the Instituto do Cancer Infantil, through multidisciplinary care from different specialties and offering assistance benefits such as food, clothing, medical examinations and medication. The project covers children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment and palliative care. The project is expected to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The proposed project covers all essential spheres for comprehensive care. In the oncological treatment, attendance with teams of: Nutrition, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dentistry and other areas is necessary. Therefore, the Children's Cancer Institute, in addition to providing these services, will also offer assistance benefits to families, who are in social vulnerability and need this support to continue the treatment.
